In my work I’m often chasing the feeling of nostalgia. Not nostalgia for the past but oddly for the future. Nostalgic for the day when I feel that things will change because — in ways — they already are changing. 

Nostalgia is the heightened awareness of the ephemeral beauty and wistfulness at the moments passing. In my work I am in awe of the beauty and joy in the world and am discontent with the pain. Despite all that pain, hope is the act of still believing something better is possible. Nostalgia and hope go hand in hand and in my work, nostalgia is the vehicle that drives my passion forward to continuously envision a better world.
